JBL Junior 470NC Wireless noise cancelling Headphone

Safety & Parental Oversight

The standout feature is the JBL Safe Sound system, which hard-caps the volume at <85dB to prevent hearing damage. Through the JBL Headphones App, parents have granular control:

• Custom Volume & Time Limits: Beyond the default 85dB, you can lower the limit to 75dB or 80dB. You can also set a daily "sound budget" (e.g., 2 hours). Once the time is up, a recorded voice prompt or an alert notifies the child.

• Real-Time Monitoring: View daily or weekly usage reports showing exactly how long and at what volume the child has been listening.

• PIN Code Security: All parental settings are locked, ensuring kids cannot bypass the safety features.

Design and "Kid-Proof" Build

The Junior 470NC is engineered to withstand the rough handling typical of younger users.  Junior 470NC features HVA (High-View Angle) hinges that allow the headphones to fold flat for easy storage in a school bag.

• Ergonomics: The Junior 470NC  headband includes a 12mm thick soft pad, specifically designed for smaller heads to prevent pressure spots. The ear cushions are plush and over-ear, which naturally aids in noise isolation.

• Ease of Use: Buttons are oversized and tactile, making them intuitive for small fingers. The set even includes a JBL Sticker Set for personalization.

• Sustainable Packaging: The plastic-free box is designed to be reused as a foldable tablet stand.

Technical Performance & Battery

• Battery Life: 50 hours (ANC Off) or 28–34 hours (ANC On).

• Speed Charge: A 5-minute charge via USB-C provides 3 hours of playtime, a life-saver for car trips.

• Built-in Mic: The dual-mic system is optimized for voice clarity, ensuring kids are heard clearly by teachers during virtual learning sessions.

• Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.3 supports Multipoint Connection, allowing the headphones to stay connected to both a tablet (for school) and a parent's phone (for safety alerts). A detachable 3.5mm cable is also included for wired use.
