The HMD Skyline revives a nostalgic design inspired by classic Nokia Lumia phones. It features flat sides, rounded corners, and a clean matte finish on the aluminum frame. Both the front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass 3, offering decent scratch resistance. Its dimensions are 159.8 x 76 x 8.9 mm, and it weighs 209g, giving it a solid but manageable feel. Notably, the Skyline is user-repairable — users can replace the battery, screen, charging port, and even the back cover themselves using guides from iFixit, a rare and eco-conscious design choice. It has an IP54 rating, meaning it can resist dust and light splashes.

Display & Audio

The device sports a vibrant 6.55-inch P-OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (402 ppi). This ensures a smooth, responsive experience whether you're gaming, scrolling, or watching videos. The display reaches a peak brightness of 1000 nits, making it easily viewable outdoors.

Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers, delivering clear sound with decent bass. It also supports aptX Adaptive Bluetooth codec for high-quality wireless audio and OZO Audio for enhanced recording.

Performance & Software

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4nm) chipset, the HMD Skyline offers reliable performance for multitasking and gaming. It pairs this with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD (up to 512GB).

Out of the box, it runs Android 14, with a clean, bloat-free UI. HMD promises 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates. Features like Detox Mode and minimalist “Focus UI” emphasize simplicity and digital wellbeing.
