One of the most compelling features of the Epson L3550 is its incredible ink efficiency. It comes bundled with ink bottles capable of producing up to 4,300 black-and-white pages and 7,300 color pages, significantly reducing the cost-per-page. Epson estimates the included ink is equivalent to 66 traditional cartridges, offering up to 90% cost savings over standard cartridge models. Refilling is clean and straightforward, thanks to spill-free, keyed bottles that prevent incorrect color refills.

Print Quality and Speed

The L3550 delivers excellent output with a maximum resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi, using Epson’s Micro Piezo Heat-Free Technology. This not only provides sharp text and vibrant graphics but also reduces power consumption and wear on the printhead. Print speeds are rated at 15 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and 8 ppm for color (ISO standard), making it suitable for day-to-day document printing.

Wireless Connectivity and Mobile Printing

Connectivity is a major strength of the L3550. It supports USB, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct, allowing you to print wirelessly from PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. Using the Epson Smart Panel App, users can monitor ink levels, manage print jobs, and perform maintenance directly from their smartphones. It also supports Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, offering seamless compatibility with various platforms.

Scanning and Copying

The integrated flatbed scanner offers 1200 x 2400 dpi optical resolution, delivering sharp scans for documents and images. Copy functions are easy to access via the 1.44-inch color LCD display, allowing up to 20 copies per batch. While the device does not have an automatic document feeder (ADF), it’s ideal for occasional scanning or copying.

Eco-Friendly and Compact Design

Designed with sustainability in mind, the L3550 uses 30% recycled plastic in its construction and is packaged using over 80% recycled cardboard. Its compact size (375 x 347 x 179 mm) and lightweight build (approx. 4.1 kg) make it a perfect fit for small spaces.
