Amazfit Cheetah Round

The Amazfit Cheetah (Round) is more than just a smartwatch; it is a specialized tool for runners, designed to challenge the dominance of brands like Garmin and Polar in the Kenyan market. As of early 2026, it remains a favorite for athletes who want elite GPS accuracy without the high titanium-price markup.

 Precision Navigation: MaxTrack™ Technology

The defining feature of the Cheetah Round is its MaxTrack™ dual-band circularly-polarized GPS antenna. While most watches struggle in "urban canyons" (like Nairobi’s CBD or heavily forested areas like Karura), the Cheetah picks up nearly 100% of satellite signals. By utilizing both L1 and L5 frequencies and supporting six satellite systems, it eliminates "GPS drift"—that annoying phenomenon where your watch thinks you ran through a building instead of on the sidewalk.

 AI-Powered Performance: Zepp Coach™

Integrated into the Zepp OS 3.5, the Zepp Coach uses generative AI to build customized training plans. Whether you are training for the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon or a simple 5K, the AI analyzes your fatigue levels and training load. If you overtrain, it will suggest a rest day; if you’re performing well, it increases the intensity. It even supports AI Chat (in some regions), allowing you to ask questions like, "What should my pace be for a sub-4-hour marathon?"

Hardware and Athletics-Focused Build

• Display: The 1.39-inch AMOLED screen hits 1,000 nits, ensuring your stats are visible even in the harsh afternoon sun.

• Weight: It is remarkably light at 32g (body only). The fiber-reinforced polymer chassis is designed for comfort during long-distance runs where every gram matters.

• Sport Modes: It features over 150 sport modes, but the "Track Run" mode is the standout—it provides lane-accurate data by automatically correcting your path to match a standard 400m stadium track.

 Battery Life and Storage

• Typical Use: 14 days.

• GPS Modes: 26 hours (Accuracy Mode), 44 hours (Automatic Mode), and up to 54 hours (Power Saving).

• Music: It includes 2.3GB of accessible storage, allowing you to store roughly 270–470 songs locally. You can pair your Bluetooth headphones directly to the watch and leave your phone at home.
